Good Old Broadway – Coleman Hawkins

This is a loving reissue package of the great saxophonist Coleman Hawkins’ 1962 album Good Old Broadway. Hawkins was a native of Missouri, but lived most of his life in New York City, and he certainly has a way of connecting with the NYC-centric material on this album.  Also, Hawkins could play a ballad like few could, so take a listen to his version of “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” below and see our copy of the CD here.
