Hip Santa Cruz: the Film!

r_abraham_logos016 ralphlogos1Ralph Abraham gave a GREAT talk Thursday night at Logos. Speaking on a wide range of related topics—Santa Cruz in the 60’s, psychedelic use among computer programmers, a basic definition of chaos theory, his own travels from tenured Princeton professor to just-beginning UCSC—he entertained the audience for a good hour.

And if you can just kick yourself for not being there, you can now watch it here.

Logos mention in insider’s guide to Santa Cruz

The San Jose Mercury News included Logos in their recent “insider’s guide” to Santa Cruz article.  Our very own Dave Iermini was quoted: “…Iermini, one of Logos’ veteran buyers, tells the story of a friend who was at a party in London, where he met Bruce Thomas, who played bass with Elvis Costello and the Attractions. ‘Where are you from?’ Thomas asked, being polite. ‘Santa Cruz, California,’ the friend answered. ‘Oh!’ shouted Thomas, in his broad British accent. ‘Logos Books and Records!'”  Read the article here.
